Gmail Auto-Ingest

Connect Gmail via OAuth and Heard will automatically ingest emails matching configured labels or recipient addresses. Support teams keep using Gmail exactly as before, while Heard works silently in the background.

  1. In the Heard Dashboard, go to Settings → Integrations → Gmail
  2. Connect your Google account via OAuth (requires gmail.readonly scope)
  3. Configure which emails to ingest:
    • Label-based: All emails with a specific Gmail label (e.g., “Support”)
    • Address-based: All emails sent to a specific address (e.g., support@yourcompany.com)
  4. Heard polls for new matching emails and processes them through the intelligence pipeline
  • Email content extracted and analyzed
  • Customer identity resolved from email address
  • Triage cards created for actionable emails
  • Thread context maintained across replies
